Clean dishwasher strainer, spray arms, and pump. Check dishwasher drain and water connections for leaks.

Clean or replace range hood filters.

Inspect dryer ducts and ensure they are not clogged.

Inspect washing machine water supply hoses for leaks.

Test and reset all GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) and AFCI (Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter) receptacles.

Check windows for smooth opening and closing operation. Clean tracks and weep holes, lubricate as necessary with non-oil based lubricants.

Check air-conditioner drain lines for blockage.

Clean and Inspect bathroom exhaust fans.

Clean/replace air conditioner filters.

Check and tighten door hardware and lubricate as necessary.

Check for cracks or separations and mildew in caulking around sinks, bathtubs, toilets, faucets, countertops and backsplashes, ceramic walls, resilient and ceramic floors, window sills and any other areas caulked. Clean and re-caulk as necessary.

Check pipes and drains for water leakage. Clean drains to avoid backups.

Check water supply lines and valves to sinks and toilets. Tighten if loose or leaking.

Clean blades by grinding up a few ice cubes. Freshen with washing soda or lemon rinds.

Clean out faucet aerators, spray nozzles and drains.

Flush all toilets and run water through all sinks, especially in bathrooms that are not used on a regular basis.

Inspect and test your hot water heater safety valve per the manufacturer’s instructions.
